Closing Ceremony – Emory-Tibet Week/Mandala Sand Painting Live Exhibition
Avalokiteshvara Sand Mandala Creation
Sunday, September 28 – Friday, October 3
As part of Emory-Tibet Week, the Drepung Loseling monks of The Mystical Arts of Tibet will create an Avalokiteshvara (Buddha of Compassion) mandala sand painting.
Avalokiteshvara — revered across Buddhist traditions as Quan Am (Vietnamese), Kwan Yin (Chinese), Kannon (Japanese), and Chenrezig (Tibetan) — embodies infinite compassion: the ability to perceive the suffering of all beings and the unwavering commitment to relieve it.
For the full agenda, please visit the Drepung Loseling Monastery website.
The Closing Ceremony will be live-streamed.
